Abstrak

Vehicle routing problem (VRP) merupakan sebuah permasalahan untuk menemukan rute paling optimal dengan tambahan sebuah batasan (constrain). PT. Adiguna Gasindo adalah salah satu agen gas LPG. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah data pengiriman harian ke agen-agen disertai data jumlah muatan per kendaraan. Permasalahan pada penelitian ini adalah ketidakefektifan dalam pengiriman gas LPG ke agen-agen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode Saving Matrix untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan VRP. Metode Clarke and Wright Savings atau biasa disebut dengan Saving Matrix akan diimplementasikan untuk menyelesaikan VRP. Pada penelitian ini pendekatan jarak yang digunakan adalah nearest insert dan nearest neighbor. Skenario pengujian yang dilakukan menggunakan tiga jenis kendaraan dengan kapasitas berbeda yaitu kecil (225 kg), sedang (275 kg), dan besar (480 kg). Hasil yang diperoleh akan dibandingkan dengan hasil aktual (rute yang pernah dilakukan) sebagai hasil validasi. Perangkat yang digunakan untuk membangun metode ini menggunakan Bahasa Pemrograman Python dengan IDE Jupiter Notebook. Dari 90 hasil skenario yang berbeda hasil yang diperoleh kendaraan dengan muatan besar adalah kendaraan yang mendapat rute paling optimal baik dari jarak dan biaya. Saving Matrix akan lebih optimal jika dilakukan dengan penambahan teknik nearest insert atau nearest neighbor.
